Girls Day School Trust National Netball - 2008
The Sheffield High School U15 Netball Team made history again when they brought the Girls Day School Trust National Netball trophy back up to Sheffield!
This dynamic squad won their section in the tournament that was held in Bromley including Royal Bath High School and Croydon.
They then met Ipswich in the quarter finals and won 13-6, Streatham in the semi finals 10-7 and then Putney in the final, winning 12-10, a close well fought game as the Sheffield High team turned this round from being 7-4 down at half time.
The competition is open to all 29 GDST schools from the whole of the country and is always of an extremely high standard.
Although Sheffield High School has shared this coveted trophy twice before, this is the first time the trophy will stay for the whole year in the school cabinet!
This is the same squad that made history when they reached the National Final of the Under 14 National School Competition last year, runners up in the country being the highest placing any Sheffield High School team had achieved in this competition.
