E-Tech - National Schools Netball 2010/11

County Round - under 14 & under 16

On Saturday 20th November 2010 at Wickersley School & Sports College, Rotherham, we held the U14 & U16 County Round of the e-teach National Schools competition.

Both age groups demonstrated a very high standard of netball and all matches were played with excellent spirit throughout, making it equally enjoyable for the umpires. It was also lovely to see new schools entering the tournament again this year and schools from Sheffield, Rotherham and Barnsley were represented.

The U14 section was well contested and the final results were as follows;

1st = Sheffield High School

2nd = Wickersley School & Sports College

3rd = Holgate School

4th = Winterhill

The U16 section was one of the closest competitions in years! Nobody won all of their matches, there were surprises along the way and the calculator was in overdrive working out the final placings - 5th place and 2nd place were only separated by 2 points!

The final results were as follows;

1st = Sheffield High School

2nd = Silverdale

3rd = King Edwards

4th = Wickersley School & Sports College

5th = Aston

6th = Winterhill

U19 County Round of National Schools 2010

The U19 County round was held at EIS, Sheffield on Monday 22nd November 2010, thankfully in the warmth!

The standard of play and sportsmanship was outstanding and once again, it was a very closely fought competition all the way through

The final results were as follows;

1st = Sheffield High School

2nd = Silverdale

3rd = Wickersley School & Sports College

4th = Notre Dame

We wish Sheffield High School, Wickersley School & Sports College ad Silverdale the very best of luck at Regional Round on 22nd January 2011.
