Under 14A Tournament

held 24th February 2008

Congratulations to the following teams who will go on to represent South Yorkshire at the Under 14 festival on 9th March

1st - Sheffield Concord

2nd - Sheffield Stormers

3rd - DVC

Each Region will then nominate two (2) teams go on to represent the region at the Under 14 Challenge Competition on Saturday 7th June at Sportspark Norwich.

Under 16 Tournament - Regional Qualifer

Saturday 5th January saw the Under 16 tournament held at the EIs, Sheffield.

A big thank you to the players, umpires, coaches, parent and volunteers who helped on the day.

Some good netball was played and the following two teams will now go forward to represent South Yorkshire in the Yorkshire & Humberside Under 16 Regional League

For future reference, please see below age banding guidelines, as given by England Netball

Any athlete competing in U19 competition must be over the age of 14 at midnight of 31st August/1st September

Any athlete competing in U16 competition must be over the age of 14 at midnight of 31st August/1st September

Any athlete competing in U14 competition must be over the age of 12 at midnight of 31st August/1st September


2006/2007 Season

April 22nd

Sheffield Concord U16s and Sheffield Stormers U14s represented the county at the Regional Netball Club Competition, held at Leeds Met Carnegie. Both teams played well and did a great job representing junior netball in South Yorkshire.

Sheffield Concord Netball Club finished second in their section.
Sheffield Stormers Netball Club finished joint first in their section, losing out only on goal difference.

Again many thanks go out to the coaches, umpires and all the other volunteers who travelled with the teams and gave them such valued support.


This season we held two junior tournaments aimed at the under 12, 14 and 16 age groups. The first was held on the 24th of February, and the second took place on March 4th.

Both events took place in a friendly, relaxed environment, and everyone involved in the tournament enjoyed the day. There was a good level of netball being played and it was nice to see some many young netball players taking part.
